Manley Design started in 1991, as a custom furniture company. I had been working in the entertainment industry for about 5 years, on a broad range of project types, and now wanted to focus my energies on creating my own unique pieces.
With the encouragement of several Art Directors I had worked with, I went in search of stores to distribute my furniture. As luck would have it, the first place I went to was a high-end children's furniture boutique in Beverly Hills. I had designs for several themed children's rooms in my portfolio, including a train themed room, which they had a client for at the time, leading to my first commission.
I wound up doing work for them over the next 5 years, then branched out to other stores with locations in Brentwood, Palo Alto, Del Mar and Studio City among others. This led to many creative and interesting projects. To page 2 >
